St. BakhitaKiburia Girls High School is an Extra County Girls Boarding School that offer 8-4-4 System of Education. The school offers a variety of subjects that include Sciences, Languages, Humanities and Technical. Under the Technical category, the school offer Music, Home science, Agriculture, Computer and Business studies. Also, the learners are allowed to take three science subjects depending on their ability.
The school has excellent learning facilities that include classrooms that accommodates 18 streams currently, science laboratories as well various Technical subject rooms such as fully equipped Computer and Home science Laboratories.
The school has registered good performance in KCSE over the years and is considered one of the best Extra County Girls’ School in the County. The good performance is attributed to serene and conducive learning environment, timely syllabus coverage, teamwork among the teachers,very disciplined girls, stable academic programs, among others. Our school does not tolerate any form of indiscipline. Owing to this, a large number of students has transitioned to the University over the years.
St. Bakhita Kiburia Girls High School is a learning institution that I would strongly recommend any parent who desires to have a all-round child morally and academically.

High quality physical education (PE) and sport are a vital part of what makes a great school. I have seen first hand how the culture and ethos of a school can be transformed when PE and sport are at its heart. The Government wants this for all schools and for all pupils.

We are committed to making games and sports more inclusive and welcoming for all so that everyone can have confidence that there is a place for them. We have a team of very committed coaches who are ready to identify and nature talents among the students.
At St Bakhita we offer games like soccer, volleyball, Netball, Badminton, Table tennis, Basketball and handball.

We mostly represent Kirinyaga county in the Central region secondary school sports association in Handball and Basketball since these are our games and we have mastered the art of playing them.
